Migrant watching experiences have been a hit new success for Dover-based tour operator Dover Sea Scapes.

The tour operator, who offers a multitude of boating excursions in and around the English Channel, decided to use the current migrant crisis to their advantage and launched a new line of migrant watching experiences, which has been a huge success.

The experience takes tourists on a 1.5-hour boat journey around Dover Marina and further out into the English Channel where they attempt to spot migrants, usually in overcrowded rubber dinghies, making the perilous journey from Calais. Once the migrant watching is over, the boat anchors in the marina and patrons are offered a hot or cold drink and the chance to buy pictures of their unforgettable experience.

Visitors seem to be loving the new adventure with 5-star reviews flowing in for Dover Sea Scapes. One traveller wrote “Captain Dave was fantastic, he knew exactly where the migrants would be and didn’t waste a second getting us there, we felt very safe on board and we were able to see 3 dinghies worth! An absolutely fantastic day out for all the family!”.

Another happy customer added, “Dover Sea Scapes have made my holiday! I went migrant watching twice, its so fascinating!”.

Dover Sea Scapes offer the 1.5-hour migrant watching experience at £65pp or the family deal is £150 for two adults and two children under 16.
